Dress Code

Colours: Pantone colours of JINS (does not have to be exact, but must be quite similar), white, black, or beige

I. Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Support Staff

Uniform requirement for Teaching Assistants

A uniform is worn by all teaching assistants. A JINS Uniform will be worn with black trousers and apron. Sensible closed shoes should be worn.

• The uniform should be worn in a clean and presentable fashion.
• Smart and appropriate shoes (enclosed toe) should be worn
• Nail varnish, false nails and false eyelashes are not permitted. Nails should be sufficiently short to ensure safe contact and good hand hygiene.
• The uniforms issued must not be altered or added to by the individual.
• The wearing of the JINS uniform in public places such as a supermarket, is not acceptable during holidays

Compulsory: Collared plain shirt, Dark coloured trousers, and Tabard
A. Allowed Shirt Styles (All Staff)
Plain, no prints, with collar, long or short sleeved

B. Allowed Trousers (All Staff):
Dark coloured (black, dark grey, navy) trousers (wide legged, high waist, chino, straight cut)

C. JINS Tabard (Teachers and Teaching Assistants)

D, Allowed Miscellaneous Attires (Top)
Blazers/ Jackets – JINS Colours, Black, white, beige, brown

E. Shoes
For All Staff: Black flats, closed shoes, loafers

F. Religious Clothing/ accessories/ head pieces are allowed

II. Admin Officers, Bursars, and Managers

A. Uniform for Admins and Bursars

B. Allowed Miscellaneous Attires (Top) for Admin Officers, Bursars, and Managers – On alternating days or days when the black/navy uniform is not worn

1. Allowed Shirt Styles (All Staff)- Plain, with collar, long or short sleeved, JINS Colours, white, beige or black coloured

2. Blazers/ Jackets – JINS Colours, Black, white, beige, brown

3. Dresses, Cardigans- Dresses must be below the knee.

C. Allowed Miscellaneous Attires (Bottoms)

1. Skirts- A line skirts, flowy skirts, pencil skirts. Skirts must be knee length.

D. Shoes- Any colour is allowed – closed shoes, heels, flats, loafers

E. Religious Clothing/ accessories/ head piece are allowed

III. Allowed Clothing (During Non-Uniform Days, Community Events, other events) for All Staff

A. Jeans (High Waist Jeans, Mom Jeans, Straight Jeans)

B. Collared Polo Shirt or shirts

C. Sweatshirts, Jumpers, T-shirts

D. Knee Length or Maxi Dresses (with sleeves)

E. Shoes- trainers, flats

Unacceptable Clothing

A. Jeggings, Stockings, & Tights

B. Shorts

C. Short Skirts

D. Ripped Jeans

E. Printed Pants

F. Beach Pants

G. Cargo Pants

H. Jogging Pants/ Sweatpants

I. Sleeveless Tops (Tank Tops, Halter Tops, Muscle Tops)

J. Plunging, Scoop, and Cowl Neckline

K. Crop Tops

L. Shoes – Gladiators, Slippers ** Sneakers are allowed during non-uniform days, but not allowed during regular days.

Hair, Jewelry, and Tattoos

Hair

The hair should be tied back away from the face. Hair longer than shoulder length needs to be always tied. Bright hair colour green, yellow, red, neon pink, orange, burgundy, blue is not acceptable

Jewelry

Jewelry for staff must be kept to a minimum; a plain/ wedding ring, wrist watches, pair of stud earrings are permitted. Facial or body piercing is not permitted. This includes tongue studs.

Tattoos

Visible tattoos are to be discouraged and where present should not be offensive to others. Where they are deemed to be offensive, they should be appropriately covered
