Take a look to see if you got all these elements to make your story memorable…

  1. Select a story or a rhyme that the children will enjoy and like listening to again and again.
  2. Tell the story by engaging and encouraging the children to join in.
  3. Use images so they can picture what happened or what’s next.
  4. Reinforce key parts of the story by using actions and emphasising key language patterns.
  5. Help children build a bank of tales and develop their linguistic repertoire.
