1.8 Freedom of Movement
Floor time, freedom & movement
- Babies should be allowed to move freely.
- Lots of time on the floor – front and back (supervision is a must!).
- Baby seats, buggies and walkers restrict movement & development.
- Walking children should be physically active for 180min a day.
- Lots of movements & sensory experiences are needed for proprioceptors to give right information to the brain.
Sleep

Screentime
- Children and adults are developing screen dependency disorder
- Negative impact on speech, eyes, and social interactions
- Children under 2 = NO screen time!
- Children from 2yrs – 5 yrs = No more than 1 hour a day (including time at school – 15min at a time)
